This 4-day PMP® Certification Boot Camp provides the 35 hours of project management contact hours required to sit for the Project Management Institute (PMI)® Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification exam (Based on PMBOK 6th Edition). It begins with 2 days of practical application of the methods and techniques that project managers use to effectively initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects. The next 2 days include intense preparation for the PMP® examination. Students learn test-taking tips and strategies and get hands-on experience with the tools and techniques they need to understand for the test. Discussion of the extensive materials covering all of the concepts and best practices in project management get reinforced through individual work, group exercises, and practice tests.

OBJECTIVES

Learn how to:

  • Describe the project management framework, including the five processes groups and nine knowledge areas
  • Define the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder and discuss the importance of collaboration to better manage projects
  • Develop a scope statement to establish the project baseline
  • Learn how to identify and quantify risks and develop risk mitigating strategies in a risk management plan
  • Estimate tasks using top-down and bottom-up methods
  • Complete a work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Understand how to read Project Network Diagrams (Gantt and PERT)
  • Control projects using project tracking techniques, while recognizing common obstacles to project tracking
  • Close projects and conduct lessons learned.

  • Align previous project experiences to PMBOK 6th Edition
  • Document application for PMP certification
  • Create an effective study plan in order to pass the certification examination.
